About Wildfire Farm

"Horsemanship is the one art for which it seems one needs only practice. However, practice without true principles is nothing other than routine, the fruit of which is a strained and unsure execution, a false diamond which dazzles semi-connoisseurs often more impressed by the accomplishments of the horse than the merit of the horseman.

Francois Robichon de La Guériniére

Wildfire Farm features 59 private acres in the scenic foothills of Northern Virginia with beautifully landscaped property throughout. Our facilities feature many unparalleled advantages, including:

Mirrors extend the full width of the arena. Dust free footing is a perfect mix of rubber and sand that is constantly maintained - dragged and leveled, even in the corners. A sound system assures rider communication during instruction and freestyle development. Music for those wanting to relax while riding. Bleachers at one end give observers a good view and enable easy access for videotaping. The arena has heaters in winter and fans in summer. Windows give plenty of light and large sliding doors give plenty of cross ventilation.

The entire arena offers views of the mountains with a beautiful gazebo at C, as well as several shaded benches for spectators at A. The footing of our outdoor facility sand over a bluestone base and is regularly dragged.
